Patient involvement
Patients have been crucial to the success of this research. The INFORM Patient Advisory Group is a group of five people from the South West with experience of infection after joint replacement.
The group has been meeting regularly since 2013 and have been involved in both the INFORM Programme and the INFORM EP study. They’ve given advice and ideas to the research team on how to plan and do the research, and on what the research has found.
Over the years, the group has shared with us their own experiences with joint infection which helps us to remain focused on what’s important to patients and to develop new ideas.
We are enormously grateful to them for their insights and willingness to help.
